I don't think adding fiber really slows detox (I'm not sure though)- it just makes your stomach process it, making you hungry. In a true fast the stomach is supposed to rest and stop being hungry after 3-4 days.
Since I began this fast I've lost about 15 lbs. However I've lost a total of 30 since last December. It involved a lot of fasting, a lot of struggling, and a lot of diet changing.
