Re: ways to beat cravings for sugar
Great suggestions on the above posts!
Big dark choco-holic lover(I had a chocolate snack company!) here and proud to say that I have had only several organic chocolate pieces since this past July when I changed to a "no
White Sugar , no white flour" diet. If you stop eating these types of foods, you will get much less cravings. However.....
I usually go directly for the watermelon! Delicious, sweet, and refreshing to eat when the cravings arrive. I also eat honeyrock melons which are incredibly delicious too. Sometimes(meaning several times a week) I take several organic grapefruits, peel and separate the sections, drizzle organic olive oil or safflower oil over it with some stevia, and then press down on the grapefruit to release the juice and then toss it to mix altogether and you've got a great tasting and healthy snack.
Now, if I get a craving for some chocolate, I get some almond milk, three packets of stevia, two teaspoons of organic cocoa and then heat and serve with a tiny bit of cinnamon. This is more of a cold weather comfort drink but satisfies now too.
