first day of cleanse and I need help

I just started taking my bowel cleanse pill last night.
Today, I am drained of energy and passing a lot of mucus.
Is this normal?
I started the bowel cleanse because of acid reflux so I guess that stuff needs to come out now...but someone assure me...

Just need to know for saftey measures.
