hcl query

Hi everyone

On the website http://www.thorne.com/altmedrev/fulltext/hcl.htm it says that candida cannot thrive in an acidic environment. THis is totally at odds with what I've been led to believe. Indeed it says it needs a ph environment to survive. It also states that HCl, by turning the stomach into an acidic environment, curtails its growth and makes it impossible to proliferate, because of the acidic environment created in the alimentary tract. I have been led to believe that it is acidosis which leads to the proliferation of candida, amonst other things of course, which we are all aware of.

Another thing it says is that, if HCl is being taken for candida, then it should be taken between meals, three times daily. Presumably this is to make sure the HCl gets to the candida in its neatest form.

What does anyone else think?
