prejudice and lying in the workplace

I was turned into upper management and there is a full scale investigation because this "person" said I called him a *F-ing* Terroist (sp), doesn't flow easily on my lips... I told my boss "how can he say that" I have been a bleeding heart liberal for 40 years.. I even voted for McGovern over Nixon when I knew he lost the election.. If Barbara Boxner ran for president I would campaign for her.

When 9/11 happened I treated anyone from the mid-east with respect.... While others were giving them fish eyes.... Personally I don't believe that just because you are from the mid-east you condone the terroist activities... I could have been wrong, I have met several Mohammeds from Bangelidesh (another sp).... I found out their naming ways.... The muslim religion is a very old religion and they practice it with "ferver" .. I got a couple people through hard times with people because I took the time to care what they had to say.... I will say I haven't learned any phrases from their language, because it is so different from ours... I have enough trouble with english and I was raised on that language.... My ancestors were early settlers... early 1600's....

My boss is behind me, but this thing is going to the top.... The person accusing me is a habitual liar, and I am known for telling the truth no matter what the consequences are to me....

This really bothers me to have an investigation... One more thing He came in on his day off to tell people what I supposedly said, so I went in last night and heard about it before I started work, so when My boss mentioned it to me I said I heard about it online about a half hour ago...

He said who and I told him, is this important, and he said yes it is.... So I told Renee sorry, had no other choice and she said, I'b behind you all the way....

Now I have a lot of people that are on my side *this shouldn't be the case* Let me explain something *I have become a 'pet" to some of these guys, they have learned to like me and respect me... I guess I should explain something else , I work in maintenance, a predominately male dominated job... These guys are not going to let some *T* pull a stunt like that...

I'm not talking to him anymore, I've told my boss every mistake he makes and how it effects product, he says something to me I tell him to check with his tech,,,,, Poor tech, but I have given him a heads up...
