Re: Have a laugh on Scott Adams

Before moving on to a new purchase, do you try reformatting the disk, and totally resetting to factory settings with the disk usually provided?

Do you uninstall unnecesary software upon purchase?

Do you have more than one spyware/security software program installed? (No can do: only one is allowed. They "compete" with each other and remove necessary components, result: frozen computer)

Also, your disk can be "hijacked" via the internet and used by others.

As we install and uninstall programs some small files may get corrupted or removed in error, causing these "traffic jams".

New programs require more memory, may be a memry upgrade will help.

The last resort of resetting, has helped a few times in extending the life of a computer: one of my sons has had the same computer since high school, and he's now a college grad!

Just a few thoughts on a very shared annoyance... been there, done that.
