Yes.
Your idea of a 'pecking' order is interesting.
Maybe we all, at some time or another, must go through the discipline of one of these fundamental religions. I think there are things to learn there. But we also grow out of them, and seem to see the 'hidden' meanings behind many of the teachings, that they are not all etched in stone or supposed to be followed by robots and taken literally and certainly none are worth killing for.
So, I guess we are to be patient with the people still stuck in these religions. Obviously there is some inner need that is met, or some step of maturity that these people cannot take.
The problem is, these people vote and sometimes drag the rest of society down with them.
So I guess we cannot just turn away and ignore them.
How can so many wars be centered around religion?
Something is terribly wrong with 'true believers'.
