On that site you mentioned they ADD salt/saline to speed up the process. Please don't do this. This is how some folks developed argyria. You only want to use distilled water, period. Do not add anything else and you will have good CS. If you want to test out what you have you can buy a Hanna PWT meter which measures conductance which relates rather closely to ppm. They have other meters but I found the PWT is more accurate though a little more $ at about $60. If you really want to know what you have this is the best meter.
