One time, a long time ago, I was working with habeneros (which make cayenne peppers seems like candy on the Heat Unit scale, lol), and I rubbed my eyes a few hours later in the day (after scrubbing my hands with soap and not feeling anymore 'skin burn'). OMG-OUCH-BURN-OWEEE-SCREAM...I thought my eyes would NEVER quit burning.
So now, I always handle ALL hotties with some type of protective gloves.
I don't remember what I used to use to kill the 'skin burn' before, but now I'd recommend aloe vera gel or Miracle II neutralizer fluid/gel.
Maybe someone else'll know how to neutralize the heat. Baking soda? Salt? ACV? (the last two seem like they'd make the burn worse, but ACV works for sunburns).
