Endocal...new root canal filling question

A naturopathic dentist told me that they are now using a product which has been used in Europe for several years called Endocal (not sure about spelling as nothing shows up on the net). Does anyone know about this product? They said that biocalex was no longer being used, although a couple of months ago a dentist in San Diego recommended it. They also said that only about 1% of their clients request Endocal and that they usually suggest the standard gutta percha product over the Endocal as it has not been used long enough for them to have any long term statistics.

My husband already had one back molar pulled and is thinking about trying the new filler...although most of the documentation out there suggests that no root canal is good...this would leave him with both back molars gone.

Has anyone out there had implants or know anything about cost in U.S. dollars? If my husband were to pull the other molar he would have to wait one year to have implants. One dentist told us that they did not work well for those teeth (back two molars), where as the oral surgeon who extracted the last tooth seemed to think it wouldn't be a problem. Would appreciate any info.
