Growing up, we would often eat this plant. My family is Italian and they called it porcelana. I grew up in Philadelphia, but this is supposedly a very common plant in Italy. I called my mother today and told her that I read an article that said it was very healthy and she said "of course, that's not new news. it has been known that it is very healthy for over 4,000 years."
Anyway, I wanted to bring it to your attention because I remembered that I loved eating this little plant as a small child. I know that you have small children, so I thought it might be something they would enjoy, if it grows where you live now.
