Yes it is likely hat you will be sore after the first adjustment. Think of it like going to the gym for the first time in a few months. Your muscles are responding to new movement in an area that may not have moved for some time. All is normal. Repetition is necessary in order to get the muscles strong enough to hold the new position of the vertebrae. In the beginning the vertebrae will subluxate back to the old position. After several visits, the adjustments will hold longer before needing another adjustment. Stay diligent with light stretching and exercise.
