With all due respect, I have not bought into the global warming/climate gloom and doom scenario that's been increasingly prominent in the collective mainstream conscious over the years. Perhaps if I studied this particular topic more my thoughts and feeling would change. Meantime, I tend to adopt the philosophy that George Carlin has on this; long after humans have eliminated their specie from existance on earth, Mother Nature wil shake off our human after effects as though we were merely a bad case of fleas for her.
Had lunch in an old time diner yesterday, there was a bay window with a view of the lobby where there is a refurbished, shiney old-fashioned bright orange gas pump on display, proudly displaying a price of 22 and 9/10 cents per gallon...... and I can remember myself the time when gas sold for this price..... by the time I'd gotten to be a teen, inflation had raised the price to 30 cents per gallon! oh mee, oh my.
