I have noticed that oils seem to do something to plastics and adhesives. For instance, I bought some vit e oil that came in a bottle like herb tinctures do-with the rubber squeeze bulb. The vitamin e oil seem to be disolving and softening the rubber bulb, after two weeks its very sticky and gooey from contact with the vitamin e oil, plus its expanded to about twice its normal size.
