yes they are oil glands, confirmed by 2 derms, i cauterized a section once and they took a year for a few even grow back, and that area dried out where as the other areas didnt.

Yes I have ex cheilitis and usedto have the thick white crusts, which mine were thick patches of dead skin hat would become indented and turn yellow. Now that think of it, I stopped getting these ever since I used fucidin for 6 months every night I then stopped cause I became immune to it but never had them after that, the fucdin thinnedout the peeling for me. The efudex did the same, but I dont recommend efudex.
