Re: Moreless on Diabetes?
Hi! I am a type 1 also. I also think it is possbile (but it will take a lot of work and healing) to cure type 1, or at least make it dramatically better. Like 2dreem, I have greatly reduced my insuln levels from about 40 total units per day to betwen 13 and 17 total units per day. I eat a LOT of raw foods, but I also eat some cooked foods. As I go along, I will be paying attention to my body and if I cannot improve beyond a certain point, I will try to go more raw. Those are some cool links 2dreem posted, and I look forward to reviewing them myself. (2dream - I still owe you my response - I have not forgotten).
The other thing, which is also related to alkalizing, is liver function. When my liver is functioning well, my insulin requirements go very low and are easy to control. When my liver is struggling (like during candida die off, for example) my blood sugars go all over the place. The liver is the regulator of blood sugar. Tho the pancreas produces the insulin, the liver actually is responsible for regulation. Alkalizing is beneficial to the liver like it is for the rest of the body, so alkalizing therfore helps in management of diabetes.
The one thing I would caution against is just tossing aside your insulin to follow the natural path. That would be dangerous. Instead, play with your dosages, monitor frequently, and adjust, adjust, adjust as you see the need.
