Today, by MH
The boys are in soccer practice twice a week, this means Mom picks them up at school and stays there for hours twice per week and THEN, the games come + the twice a week practice!!!! This means dad gets to be with Trevor age 2 and this alos means those less than important chores can now be done. Today's chore was picking the grapes. Trevor ate grapes for about an hour, he at one time climbed the ladder and I set him right in the middle of the grape harbor roof surrounded by grapes, naturally he ate and ate the whole time and below the harbor on the ground were the dogs, they were eating every grape that dropped.
I too ate my fill. We picked about 75% of one grape vine, that was enough for us. I wanted to freeze these as a snack for Trevor and Trent, so I removed the grapes from the stems, this makes it easy to open a frozen bag and grab a few frozen grapes, these make the ideal cold snack!
We did 4 gallons in maybe 2 hours or less; I wanted to take a cool picture but Trevor fell asleep as be was cleaning the grapes, but until he was soaked with playing with the garden hose.
Mom will get the surprize when all the grapes decide to make their exit!!!!
To see Trevor sitting high on the grape harbor eating raw fresh picked grapes made the day all worth while. When we must work far from home or even 40 hours a week, we do miss out on allot of precious moments. It was a fun day!
The Grape Smoothie I made for the web page was quite zasty today! I am going to add a few goodies (secrets to Longevity)and make a kit soon, naturally a batch to me is about 5 kits total. Only when something is popular and can be made in larger batches does it get practical to do. The Barefoot Way to a Longevity Smoothy may seem bazarr to most, but to me there is no more simple way on earth to consume so many differant herbs and not hardly taste them at all.
Blessings,
