hypertension/table salt

Hi,

In your article you mention that maybe sodium should not be restricted on people that have normal blood pressure. What about people that do have hypertension, what should they do? Will natural salt be OK for them?

I also have a water softener in my home and use potassium rock as the water softener source. Is this OK? I used to use the regular salt rock but heard to too many horror stories and quit using it.

I am on precribed water pill but I do not feel like I am extracting any more water then before. Will I be better of not taking this medication? I also take two other medications for hypertension. I do not use any table salt at all. The only salt consumption I have is what comes with prepared food.

So then, should i start using natural salt on daily basis and if so how much?

Any feedback woudl be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Desi de la Garza
