I am a nurse. Iwas recently hospitalized for ten days. I realize now hat I got my staph infection from the surgery I had on my leg. I had I.V.'s and that is where it was determined the infection came from. EVERYONE should know that most Sraph/Strep infections are nosocomial ( big word for "got it at the hospital").
I am having part of my foot amputated because the staph went so long undiagnosed that it entered my bone in my foot.
