Help for Abused Women and Their Children
Help for Abused Women and Their Children (HAWC) Mission
The purpose of HAWC is to create social change by action against personal and societal patterns of violence and oppression against women and their children. HAWC provides services taking and support to women residing in 23 cities and towns on Massachusetts' North Shore in order that they may make informed, independent decisions about their futures, and access alternatives to living in a violent situation.
Join us on Sunday, April 24, 2005 with your family and friends as we walk 5 miles through historic Salem. This year the Walk begins and ends at a new location: Old Town Hall in downtown Salem. Team registration begins at 11am and the actual Walk begins at 12 noon.
Be a sponsor, raise awareness and raise funds to provide free services for women and their children.
You can help by learning more and getting involved - because we all have a responsibility to help prevent domestic violence whenever and wherever we can.
