i understand it, but i could not go there.

those that smoke that stuff are worse than animals - they dont even know they exist. i saw the movie salton sea and it did not come close to depicting what this stuff can do. it does paint a grim enough picture for people NOT on it.

i am a trapper, and i know of no greater chemical trap for people than methamphetamine. you very quickly become the biggest joke you know, but by then you cant function without it. very few give it up without getting very sick or killing themselves. but then, what is the difference? the damage that gets done is almost impossible to mitigate. it robs you of everything of any meaning. you have no faith, no hope, and no love beyond your next bump. the total mental and nervous exhaustion has no cure but more meth. all you can do is be there if there are any pieces left to pick up. stay away until then, unless you like train wrecks and possibly being involved in one yourself. believe nothing they say - you cant and live in reality. i am sorry.

that being said, they are like anyone else with regard to getting well - they have to read and believe and do. the one cure will work for them, but that does not mean they will ever want it enough to do it. i am sure they could, if they wanted. but what will convince them may also do them in. it is so sad.
