Agnes/Bob, please help with homemade natural products

I want to start getting into the practice of making my own household cleansers, detergents, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, hair gels and hair products, toothpastes, deodorants, cosmetics, etc. Mostly out of fear of all the crap that's put into these commercial products... Do you guys have any ideas? I tried using a search engine to possibly find websites but I have no idea what keywords to use, I want to make products in their most natural state, basically without the use of any other commercial product to make it, Do you guys have any links or websites or books I can pursue?
