MH, on Varicose Veins

MH, do you have any remedy for varicose veins? My mother has buldging varicose veins in both legs. This is very painful at times. Doctor wants to remove surgically. I can't imagine having veins cut out of my legs. Don't we need them? What will it do to the blood circulation?
