Re: periods (nightmare)!

I had exactly the same thing. I tried painkillers, heating pads, nothing worked. I also in terrible pain and was throwing up. I finally went to the doctor who suggested I go on birth control pills. The first couple of months, they did not work. I also broke out all over my face. I was told that your body has to get used to them in order for them to work. Well, it was true. I have been taking them for 26 years now and haven't had any problems at all. In fact, my period only lasts about 2 days now instead of 6 days. Tweet
