Skin damage resulting from Tinea Cruris

Hi everybody,
I have had tinea cruris for 4 years now and everytime I look at it, it gives me a little dose of madness.
besides that, what I want to know is...
after tinea cruris is properly treated, will the damage (markings)fully recover, or will it remain dark and ugly?
I hope you can tell me because I am curious as to the outcome of it...
