A presence in my home

For 1 week I have been feeling a presence in my home. I see it materializing out of the corner of my eyes, but when I set my eyes to it, it disappears. My cat sees it too. The reason I'm concerned, since this presence has been in my home, all kinds of bad things have been happening. My dryer and dishwasher died on the same day, I find myself falling all the time, my cat had to have emergency surgery, and there's more. I don't sleep well at night. Neighbors tell me that before I purchased my home, police and ambulances were constantly coming to the house. (Funny the realtor didn't mention that) I have had my share of tragedy since moving into the house, I would like some peace.
