Same right or wrong argument.

This argument was had back 49 days ago. New people should go read it. It's now on p. 22. Begines with "do you agree with this statement." by SS

Anyway, I'm going to repost my mesages frome there.

Another example, same class actually happened when we read Heart Of Darkness. It is now considered a racist novel and therefore is degraded as literature and Conrad is thought of as an awful racist. I had this very same conversation with my Professor that I am having with you. Conrad did not set out to write a racist novel that’s just how people thought back then, I’m sure he didn’t think about it and it wasn’t written in hate, just normal everyday though. If it was written today then it would be arguably a racist novel. See the difference? I think I got through to my prof, and hopefully I can get through to you too, though I don’t bet on it.

There you have it the statement: Right, is there even such a thing as right or wrong? If I think something is wrong...maybe you don't or the other way around is completely true, but I was not the one who originally wrote it I don’t think.

Generally people can agree, that’s why we have laws, but some people don’t agree that’s why they break the rules. This is also the reason why abortion is such a debated issue. It is an issue because wrong and right is relative. If it wasn’t and everyone thought the same way it wouldn’t be an issue.
