Eczema banished again!
Eczema ravished my body for decades until I went on Atkins and cut out all dairy, sugars, and grains. Within a couple of weeks of making this change, the eczema disappeared entirely and stayed gone as long as I adhered to Atkins and even for a couple of months after my old eating habits started to creep back into the picture.
I then went on an extended high-carb binge that lasted the better part of a year. I ate everything in sight, including dairy, grains and sugars. It took a few months of poor eating for the eczema to start to come back, but it did eventually come back, though still in much smaller amounts than before I went on Atkins to begin with.
I expected the eczema to disappear again after I reformed my eating habits and cut out all the bad stuff again. It did clear up for the most part, but I had a couple of small patches that remained on my arm that just wouldn't go away.
I recently spent a couple of days in the sun in Florida and made sure to expose my arm to the sun's rays, having heard that certain UV rays can help clear up eczema. Well, after just a couple of hours of sunshine, the itching stopped entirely and within a day the eczema was noticably less inflamed. After about 2-3 days in the sun (perhaps a total of 6-8 hours of sun exposure) my eczema was completely healed.
I'm going to file away this sun cure in my aresenal of anti-eczema measures. Really dramatic results in a very short period of time.
