Re: A woman's right to choose what??
Okay, so a woman has no right to kill the child that is growing inside of her. Maybe she was too stupid to use contraception or she didn't want to take unnatural artificial hormones that make her crazy. She was with someone she thought cared about her. So she's pregnant, doesn't have a real job, doesn't have a man in her life, and now has to raise a child on her own. She's scared, alone, and has no one to turn to. To end it all, she decides to end her own life, and the child's.
In my neighborhood 2 summers ago, a woman that had been checked into a mental institution for the past 10 years of her life became pregnant. She was raising the infant in her small apartment, and on a few occasions went to a couple of her neighbor's doors and asked them to take the child from her. She had no help and was not fit to raise the poor baby. One afternoon, she walked to the front steps of the apartment on a busy street, grabbed the child by the feet and killed it on the sidewalk. It was horrifying. The story was in my local newspaper.
I've heard of so many stories related to the first scenario and the second was one that effected my entire community. I don't think that having an abortion is right, but I think if a mother isn't ready to have a child she shouldn't for her own good and the baby's.
