Re: LIGHTBRINGER: Biggest Choice
Thank you for your response...and yes, I am a lady. I am not disputing the fact that parents should communicate with eachother and with their children. My only point is that many do not, can not, or will not do this for whatever reason. And many parents misinform their children because they aren't equipped to answer many of the questions. And these kids need to learn this somewhere. I am simply saying that teaching about sex in school (whether it be for abstinence, birth control, or for honeymoon preparation) is not such a bad thing. We cannot mandate what parents are teaching their children...but we can mandate what these children learn in schools. Abstaining is a great idea...but it isn't such a good idea to not plan for the "ifs"...if a teenager makes the choice, whetehr it be right or wrong, NOT to abstain...should they not know how to protect themselves?
In your post (//www.curezone.org/forums/m.asp?f=548&i=602) your emphasis seemed to be that parents expect schools, churches, police to teach their children. This is why I posted the messages to you about parents that don't care. The children shouldn't suffer because of this. The schools, churches, police should serve as a pretty solid backup plan for those childern.
