Pregnancy is not Punishment
People saying a woman who unintentionally gets pregnant needs to live with her mistake are way off. Pregnancy is not a punishment. Neither is parenthood and children are certainly not punishment for having SEX.
Some people think abortion is only acceptable if a woman's life is in danger due to the pregnancy, or in the case of rape or incest. So, these people think only if sex was NOT pleasurable or if the woman can die, is abortion acceptable. BUT, if you willingly had pleasurable sex, then you must be PUNISHED for your sin with, PREGNANCY! Everyone who sees you will KNOW WHAT YOU DID. SEX....ooohhhhhh
Never mind there is a human child that goes along with this "punishment".
Most people DO NOT have sex to create a child, most people have sex for PLEASURE. Sexual urges are stimulated by hormones. Sex is a normal part of life. We need to teach our children how to handle these hormone induced urges. Sexual urges are NORMAL.
Are we not past the day and age of telling a woman what she can and can not do with her body? Can we tell a woman what she is allowed to eat? Can we tell a woman if she can cut her hair or pierce her ears? Even cosmetic surgery is a choice left to the person having it. Yet some how a (pregnant) woman's body can be controled by a person she dosn't even know.
A sunflower sprout is not a sunflower. An oak tree sprout is not a tree. A fetus is not a baby, it is A PART of a woman's body. Abortion is not "murder". Why are all the "pro-Life" people not protesting at fertility clinics? Invetro Fertelization destroy hundreds upon thousands of fertilized eggs, INTENTIONALLY! IVF only works 20% of the time and usually many eggs are fertelized at a time. This is some how more acceptable than abortion. Now, how is this right?
