You don't have to have a family history of eczema to get an eczema reaction. Just like the common cold, anyone can develope an eczema reaction. Eczema is a skin disorder that developes when the immune system is being overwhelmed by toxins. In an effort to relieve the body of the toxic invasion, the skin begins to release the toxins out of the bloodstream, resulting in the eczema symptom.

You really do need to consider your water source as a prime instigating factor. You have not mentioned whether or not your water is treated with chlorine or fluoride. These chemicals are toxic to the skin. I can't stress this enough. Filter heads are placed on showers or faucets for the purpose of intercepting those chemicals before they come into contact with your skin.

If you are referring to the body when you are speaking of internal moisture, drinking more water and staying away from drinks that dehydrate (like soft drinks, alcohol, etc.) will help tremendously. Increasing your essential fatty acids will also benefit. The essential fatty acids are omega-3, omega-6, omega-9, & gamma linolenic acid/GLA.
