i've been fasting on mainly mint tea and maple syrup with a juice each day and i've lost 10 lbs in 4 days, i have one teaspoon of maple syrup in a cup of mint tea about 6 times a day. i work as a landscape gardener so feel i need the syrup for my energy requirements...you do need to take extra care though with keeping your teeth clean as i feel that the syrup may affect them :)
