Day 4 of 30+
Hi everyone. Just wanted to drop in and check on everyone. Looks like a new group starting right behind us. Wonderful to have this active forum!
I'm down to 228 now (229 this morning). The weight is dropping slower, but I just did a 10 day
Master-Cleanse 2 weeks ago (about 2 weeks between), and maintained all but the 5
pounds I always put on once I start eating again (mostly water retention). Tomorrow or the next day I'll be where I was when I stopped my last MC, so I'm excited to start seeing numbers that I haven't seen for a while on my scale.
I have only been drinking 4 lemonades for most days (even though I try to get 6 down.) I am still hungry occasionally, but mostly just miss the flavor/texture/chewing pleasure I get from eating.
I have been very busy, but no severe detox symptoms yet. I actually go into a baking mood the other day and made a double batch of cookies. Then I made 2 separate batches of bread, but tried new recipes. For both, I ground my own wheat flour in the Vitamix and ground flax seeds in the coffee grinder. Then I used ALL wheat flour and replaced all the fat w/flax seeds. The family liked the pumpkin bread much better than the banana date walnut bread, but are eating both. They know I made "healthy bread" but don't realize how much better it is for them than the white processed stuff. Hubby works at a restaurant and brings home rolls every few days, so I don't usually get to choose what is around. I want to get into the habit of making healthier stuff for the whole family, and hope to start making dehydrated/sprouted bread this summer.
My original weight was 232, so I'm only averaging a pound a day, but I'll take it! I hope to lose the entire 40 within 40 days, but it may take longer than that. Regardless, I'm not CHEWING again until I get to about 192; so I have a LONG ways to go. I'm enjoying hearing everyone's stories, successes, and struggles. I'll try to keep posting here occasionally, but am also posting on the
Master-Cleanse board for now. I'll switch to the juice fast forum when I change over.
