Re: Let us know what you decided...
It's generally hard for the first few days; then it gets easier. The wanting to eat may come and go, but the "I need to eat" feeling does fade.
I had a hard time tonight because there was a tiny bite sized piece of grilled chicken on the platter, and it kept calling to me. It's not that I was tempted to eat it and break my fast; rather, I just kept almost picking it up before I'd remember that I'm fasting. Funny how our minds work. I wasn't even "hungry". Just a habit to pick a taste off the plate. I finally put it in hubby's salad and thanked him for getting it out of my way.
Don't skimp on the lemonade for the first few days, if you can help it. You need to keep your calories up to keep your metabolism up (and strength). It will also satisfy your hunger (have extra if you need to). Once you get past that major hurdle, it will be so much easier. Sometimes I even forget to drink my lemonade for half a day. Haven't gotten there yet this time, but I'm struggling to get in more than 4 per day.
Anyways, let us know what you decided. If you did decide to eat, beware of the "I'll eat for one more day" delay. I wasted an entire week saying that to myself each morning. Now I'm on day 5 instead of day 12! Sure wish I had started as planned! I'd probably be down another 10 pounds, too!
