Painkillers while fasting?

Do you think they're safe? I went to a dentist today and now it hurts and I'm not able to relax or focus on anything (nor sleep). I know taking any pill is poison etc, but what else could I do? I hate the pain.

lol at least I don't feel the urge to chew anything any more ;)
