This is not so much about how to fast as it is how to fast with the proper attitude. I breaks my heart to see so much frustration and self loathing as new fasters try and all to often fail to reach their frequently unrealistic goals of fasting to lose weight. This site is pro fasting. It will encourage, not discourage you.
Fasting is hard work. It involves battles with our flesh, our emotions and our spirits. Make improved health at least as important as lost weight. Educate yourself, do not try to fast on a whim. Experiment to see what kind of fast, water only, juice or cleansing drink will work best for you and your lifestyle. Do make make unrealistic plans or expect miracles. Allow fasting to do what it does best-cleanse and detoxify-and enjoy the benefits of a slimmer, healthier body.
