Hi Richard,

No, endometriosis, cystic fibrosis and uterine growths known as uterine fibroids are three different things. Very briefly...

Cystic fibrosis is an inherited disorder of the exocrine glands and results in the production of abnormally thick mucus secretions resulting in shortened life span.

Uterine fibroids are usually benign tumors that develop on or within the uterine wall.

Endometriosis is a condition where endometrial tissue migrates to areas of the body other than the uterus (which is normally lined with this tissue) creating inflammation when this tissue goes through hormonal cycles, but has no avenue to exit the body.

Endometriosis and uterine fibroids are often found together, and are both believed to be...in part...the result of estrogen-dominance.
