I like Osho, the author, not Osho, the man.

Dear Belarius,

I'm well aware of the scandals that Osho
became involved in because of his loony
conduct. I feel no kinship with the man.

But Osho, the author, was a completely different character. I wish he had read his
own books, and put his own teachings into
practice.

The Book of Secrets is full of timeless spiritual wisdom, at least for me. I've also
read four or five of his other books, and
learned many things worth knowing from each
of them.

Osho's life, especially in that ranch-ashram
in the Western USA, is proof-positive that
an enlightened mystic -- someone who KNOWS
the deepest spiritual truth -- can still
lead an X-rated life. I don't pretend to
understand it.

A completely different personality wrote his
books. That's the Osho whom I consider a
spiritual mentor.

Blessings,

Owen
