Why did you all choose to become Vegetarian or vegan?

Hello everyone, Im new here.
I was raised to be vegetarian(Im 15), I now want to be vegan. I was on this website called http://www.GoVeg.com and I was watching this video on animals in slaughterhouses and it was soo sad. I never realized how the animals were treated (for the milk and eggs). I was in tears after that.
I personally cant see how people can say they love animals, but can eat one??? It bugs me when people say that animals are stupid, all animals are smart!
