Re: Canker Sores....cause and treatment???

Hi Squeaky...yea, pretty sure that cold sores and canker sores are very different. Cold sores are indeed caused by a virus in the system...herpes simplex? Canker sores must just have something to do with the ph balance or something inside the mouth cuz I, like you, bite the inside of my mouth on occasion and don't get them, normally. I am going to try and use another tooth paste cuz from what I've read, the sodium laurel sulfate that toothpaste contains is an irritant and maybe only people that are prone to get canker sores? It certainly would be an easy fix. I was just wondering if there was not something else I can be considering. Just hate to see hubby suffering with those things constantly.
