A question for an experienced Juice faster :)


Hi,
I have been back and forth doing 5 days Water Fasting for the past month.
My first one started in the last week of Feb. I wanted to go for 15 days, but being my first fast, I decided to go slow. I did great. I started another one about 2 weeks later and also did very well. I am on my third, or I should say that I have started my third about 5 days ago and today woke up, drank water, drank some more, and then went shopping. I returned around 1pm and had a small salad (about 1 cup) with about 2tblsp. of dresisng. Later I had a couple slices of ham and a diet root beer (I was dying for a root beer). Around 3:30 today I had a low carbohydrate tortilla and a lot of romaine lettuce and red bell pepper with horseraddish sauce.

Is this too much for me right now?
Are these the right foods (besides the diet root beer)?

And........

Living a low carb diet for many years (10), can I still lose weight of a juice fast?
I would like to fast, but being that I fast 5 days here and there I am worried about my metabolism. Should I be? Someone said earlier that it can drop up to 25 % in just 5 days. That's a lot.
If that's true, how long should I wait to do a juice fast and how should I prepare myself if I am so acostumed to a low crb diet (between 20-40 carbs a day).

And.........
One more, sorry.
Is there an alternative to juicing a fruit as I don't have a juicer? :)
