Prettysoulful, I found your post really insightful. For the past few weeks I have been taking a 300mg vitamin C supplement, which I know is ridiculously over the RDA for C but I recently sopped smoking and figured some high doses of C would be beneficial to my body as smoking prevents absorbtion of this vitamin. Even though my skin is starting to regain it's glow from cutting out cigarettes, it has been really dry around my mouth and legs, even though I drink about 4 litres of water a day and moisturize etc. I rarely eat dairy as I don't think it agrees with me but eat plenty of dark green veg, pulses, nuts and seeds which I believe are high in Calcium. Would you recommend a calcium supplement and ditching the Vit C? I am also planning a Liver Flush which will hopefully brighten up my skin! :)
