Re: How I treated myself for Amalgam Illness

Hi Robert,...It's great that you are so much better but some of your
remaining symptoms sound very much like hypothyroidism and/or adrenal
insufficiency. Even tho many folks are told by their doctors that
their thyroid test is in the normal range, many physicians disagree
with 'the normal range' and go by symptoms instead. If you will check
out Mary Shomon's Thyroid site on About.com and visit the forums, you
will learn a great deal about others who have many of your symptoms.
Also, if you haven't done so, try to find a doctor who will check
your adrenal glands; some will do saliva testing for that and feel it
is more accurate than bloodwork. If you have been under a lot of
stress, or feel stressed out, it could well be that your adrenal
glands are exhausted. I, myself, suspect adrenal insufficiency and
after much searching have found an M.D. in the S.F.Valley who does
saliva testing. So, I'm going to see him. If you already know all
this stuff, please forgive my writing but, if you don't, do visit
Mary's site....it's great and there are many knowledgeable people who
post there; often, 'they' have to educate their doctors.

Sincerely,

Shirley
