• Acupuncture has won medical acceptance
  Acupuncture seems to calm precisely the part of the brain that controls the emotional response to pain, said Dr. Kathleen K. S. Hui, a neuroscientist at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, which has a $5 million federal grant to study acupuncture's effects on the brain. Her brain-scan studies show decreased activation in deeper brain structures in the limbic system, which governs emotions and other physiological functions.

• Stroke
  When my mother was 73, she suffered a stroke and could not eat on her own. A feeding tube was inserted for her to receive the basic nutrition needed to keep her alive. Eventually, she regained her ability to eat with her mouth and the feeding tube was removed. She lived another 3 years before she died of an infection contracted at the nursing home.

  Unexpectedly, during second half of the fast strange long and short strings started to come out of me. I put a link to see a sample of those. I studied very carefuly and now I am leaning towards that those were dead parasites, possibly ascaris because it runs in my family. I can't be absolutely sure although during examining one of those "things" I pressed it and quite a few what seemed mini eggs o a parasite came out.   Many patients who are misdiagnosed as being in the vegetative state are blind or have severe visual handicap; thus lack of eye blink to threat or absence of visual tracking are not reliable signs for diagnosing the vegetative state.
