Re: Stationary Bike with a capacity to hold 500 LBs

Aloha Harland,

I couldn't find any bike on the net either. But I agree with the previous poster. Did your physician recommend this type of activity? The bike works wonders provided you can stand the pressure on your bottom. At 170 lbs, I used to sit and pedal but noticed numbness from the waist down if I went over 15 minutes.

Perhaps there are other stationary items you might consider. I suffer with a spine problem so too much physical activity was not good for me. I checked out senior citizen type of activities. They're mostly stationary on a chair/bed and it's just to get the body parts moving. Or simple objects like just lifting water bottles, small plastic balls, etc. will do. I had great results using rubber exercise bands too. They're lightweight, portable & create resistance for you to build your muscles which in turn will help you to increase your metabolism to start eating away at fat.

Sounds weird, but maybe you're not eating enough. Make sure you feed your body (good stuff) as soon as you wake. If you get hungry, EAT. If at all possible, not the crappy stuff. Eat all day if your body is signaling you. I estimate that someone that size would need over 150 grams of protein just to keep the body from shutting down and taking away from other organs in the body.

Would love to keep hearing any results!
