Re: some basic questions

Hey! maybe I have something here for you....

Some of the other replies have mentioned common interests...here's another way to think about it..

Do some volunteer work in an area where you have interest, ie: habitat for humanity, local church groups, animal shelters etc. You can meet people this way, and some will be volunteering too (a very good quality in a person)! You might find you have common interests with them (other than the volunteer work) and obviously these are the type of people that care about something outside of themselves. You can find out so much about a person this way, and they about you, before there ever has to be the "asking out" thing. By the time you get to that, it will be more natural.

Everyone wins in this kind of situation, the group you volunteer for, the others involved, and you! The best way to feel good about yourself, is to give to others. That will make you a very attractive person, and the "working together towards a common goal" gives you an easy way to start a conversation.

Even if you don't meet someone this way, you still win!

Good luck.
