Re: Diarrhea on MC
I have recently completed a fiften day master cleanse - and like you I swear by this process. I've struggled with stubborn weight gain for 5 uears with no success. The
Master-Cleanse just melted it away.
There were three things I substituted for the
Sea Salt wash (which like you I couldn't begin to swallow and the laxative tea - which was unavailable in my town.
The first one was MAGNESIUM OXIDE powder - absolutely wonderful stuff! It doesn't taste great - but infinitely better than copious salt water or
Epsom Salts . (I've used it successful for gallbladder flushes also) It is only a maximum of two teaspoons in a small glass of water and you follow it down with a mouthful of lemon juice to activate the process. Magnesium oxide is a fantastic
Bowel Cleanse at the best of times - the 'oxide' it combines with naturally occuring hydrogen in your digestive tract - to make - good old H2O - water. Thus instead of draining fluids from other parts of the body it literally dissolves and flushes hardened fecal matter. It can take about 4-6 hours to work - so I found it helpful to take before bed.
The other advantage to this 'laxative' - is that it isn't really a laxative in the ordinary sense of the word where valuable stores of gut flora are flushed away. In fact the oxygenation of your gut lends itself to the growth of helpful flora - and fungal activity hates it!
The other think I took to 'absorb' the toxins was hydrated Bentonite. Again not great tasting - but bearable. This avoided the worst of the healing crises symptoms - as the
Bentonite clay got flushed quickly with the magnesium oxide.
Towards the end of my
Master-Cleanse - after the initial 10 day period I started to introduce daily a psyllium based product called Aim Fiberblend. The reason behind this was to get my digestive system working just a little - processing non absorbed bulk. The fiberblend contains helful herbs for conditioning and soothing the bowel - after it's regular flushing it helped make things feel normally 'solid'. I was then able to start eating solid food with much less 'fuss' than suggested in the MC. By the second day I was able to eat a normal meal with no ill effects.
I hope this helps.
