Fish Oil cure for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome-PCOS?

I am trying something different this month. I heard from a friend that Dr. Sears author of "The Omega Zone Rx" stated that our bodies are seriously depleted of Omega 3 fats. This fats are essential to life. The fish oil apporoach is to make sure that it is pharmacutical grade...no pesticides/PCB's/Mercury...also make sure the content of DHA/EPA is high. If you want to know the brand I am using let me know. I hate posting it because I dont like to "advertise". I have prayed over this and I really believe my body is low on these omega 3's. Along with PCOS I also have bipolar/ Depression and low thyroid function, low progesterone (supplementing with prometrium). I am hoping this works....I will keep you all updated.

I am started out at 12 fish pills a day..for a few months to build up my Essential Fatty Acid Stores. Then I will follow a maintenance dose. I am reading "The Omega Rx Zone" by Barry Sears..it is about high dose pharmaceutical fish oils....it is good for many things and many people are lacking this very important element.

My husband and I have been trying for a baby for 4 years and 7 months with one pregnancy but that resulted in a miscarriage. Just to give you an idea.


Other things I have tried but failed:

1 Round Clomid-Awful Side Effects...poor ovulation
2. 5 Rounds Femera-4 Rounds Ovulated weakly...One good ovulation..no pregnancy
3. Vitex...Actually made things worse
4. Evening Primrose Oil (up until ovulation)...helps with fertile egg white cervical mucus
5. Green Tea...great before ovulation increase fertile cervical mucus
6. Flax seed oil- all cycle..for other omega 3
7. Red Raspberry Leaf
8. prometrium-currently taking to raise progesterone levels


Right now we have no infertility coverage so IUI and IVF is out of the question but if none of the above works...including the fish oil we may have to go that route.
