I live in a Mediterranean country and here you can find absolutely EVERY single kind of olive oil that exists in all the world! But anyways it is true that really good olive oil has a strong flavour no matter what variety you use. Anyways when I want something with a buttery taste or for making desserts and I want it to be a good oil I don't use olive oil I use ghee, for cooking olive oil and coconut oil (everyone thinks I am nuts for using coconut oil because here not one single person uses coconut oil EVERYONE uses olive oil!).
